PRF EZ Gel, Biofiller & Plasmagel Cosmetic Services - Autologous Regenerative Therapies

PRF EZ Gel, Biofiller & Plasmagel Aesthetic Treatments in London

From £300 per session

At Dr Hans Clinics London, PRF EZ-Gel Biofiller (also known as PlasmaGel Biofiller) is a single, combined autologous treatment created by processing the patient’s own blood to produce a hybrid injectable composed of heat-treated albumin gel and liquid i-PRF.

This treatment is designed to support skin structure, tissue quality, and early volume loss using fully autologous plasma-derived components, without synthetic dermal fillers.

What is PRF Biofiller?

PRF Biofiller, sometimes called Plasma Gel or EZ Gel, is a treatment that uses your own blood to create a natural gel for subtle volume and skin support. Plasma proteins are heated to form a gel-like structure, which can be injected to fill hollows or soften lines.

At Dr Hans Clinics, we prepare biofiller by combining:
● Plasma Gel – formed through heating.
● Liquid PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) – which contains platelets and growth factors.

This way, patients receive both the scaffold effect of the gel and the regenerative stimulation of PRF.

EZ Gel - The Patented Version in the USA

EZ Gel is a patented American system that standardises plasma gel preparation. The patent covers the heating process, tubes, and devices used.

Key points about EZ Gel:
● It was developed and branded to provide a “natural filler” option.
● The claim is that heating plasma proteins creates a biocompatible gel that can restore volume.
● In the process, platelets and growth factors are largely destroyed – so the gel works mainly as a temporary filler, not as a regenerative treatment.

Many clinics use the word “EZ Gel” loosely, even if they are not using the actual patented system. Patients should know that the brand name and the generic method are often blurred in marketing.

Evidence and Claims

● Evidence for plasma gel (EZ Gel or similar) is limited compared to hyaluronic acid fillers.

● Small studies and case reports suggest it can improve under-eye hollows and fine lines, but the longevity is short – usually 6 – 12 weeks.

● The gel eventually breaks down as the body reabsorbs the proteins.

● Claims of long-lasting regenerative change are not well supported in published research.

Where It Can Be Used

● Under-eye hollows (tear troughs)

● Facial fine lines and mild volume loss

● Nasolabial folds

● Hands (for crepey or thinning skin)

Suitability

✅ Suitable for patients:
● Looking for a natural option without synthetic fillers.
● Accepting of subtle, short-lived results.
● Comfortable with repeat treatments for maintenance.

❌ Not suitable for patients:
● Expecting dramatic or long-lasting volume replacement.
● Needing structural lift or contouring (where HA fillers are superior).

What to Expect

Effect: Softer hollows, subtle plumpness, short-term hydration.

Duration: Typically 3 – 6 months.

Evidence: Still developing – most studies are small and early.

Maintenance: Repeat sessions are often required.

Transparency Statement

● EZ Gel is a patented device and process in the US. Outside of this, many clinics prepare plasma gel through generic heating methods.

● Whether prepared as “EZ Gel” or standard plasma gel, the biological effect is similar: a temporary scaffold with limited regeneration.

● At Dr Hans Clinics, we combine plasma gel with liquid PRF to retain some regenerative properties.

● We believe patients deserve to know the true evidence and limitations – biofiller is not a replacement for dermal fillers, and expectations should be realistic.
