About RevyPeel Chemical Peel

Chemical peels have one job: controlled exfoliation. The clever part is choosing the right peel, at the right strength, for the right skin.

RevyPeel is a professional chemical peel offered as a 30-minutes treatment at Dr Hans Clinics. It is intended to improve the appearance and feel of the skin through controlled chemical exfoliation rather than aggressive peeling for the sake of it.

What can a chemical peel help with?

Depending on the formulation selected and your skin, professional chemical peels may be used to improve dullness, rough texture, superficial discolouration and the appearance of some blemish-related concerns. Suitability matters, particularly in skin that is sensitive, recently treated or prone to post-inflammatory pigmentation.

Will my skin actually peel?

Not necessarily. Visible shedding is not a scorecard for whether a peel has worked. Some superficial peels produce little obvious flaking while still creating controlled exfoliation. Trying to chase dramatic peeling can simply create unnecessary irritation.

How many RevyPeel treatments do I need?

A single session can be booked, but where a course is appropriate we recommend four treatments as the standard course option. This is not a guarantee that every person needs exactly four sessions; treatment frequency should still be based on skin response and the concern being treated.

Downtime and aftercare

Temporary redness, dryness, tightness or light flaking can occur after a chemical peel. Avoid picking or manually exfoliating peeling skin. Keep the barrier supported and use appropriate broad-spectrum sun protection. More specific aftercare depends on the peel formulation and your skin.

Is RevyPeel suitable for pigmentation?

Chemical peels can improve some forms of superficial uneven pigmentation, but ‘pigmentation’ is not one diagnosis. Melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and other causes behave differently, so assessment matters before choosing a peel.

Do not assume that every peel is a zero-downtime pre-event treatment. Allow for the possibility of redness, dryness or flaking and discuss timing with the clinic.

Yes, but peel selection, concentration, preparation and aftercare require particular care because inflammation itself can trigger post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in susceptible skin.

No. More irritation is not the same thing as a better outcome. The appropriate depth and formulation depend on the indication and the individual skin.
